What you can expect

Technology is in your DNA – you dream in code.

You are curious, fullstack-competent, and like to play in different technical areas. You have a special interest in frontend.

Perhaps you have never focused on being a “leader”, but have noticed that others seek out your opinion and help. Experienced engineers come to you when they want someone to look at their technical designs or code.

You like to understand how frameworks work, under the hood. You find that the “how” to use a framework is usually easy, and the “why” and “when” to use the framework are more interesting questions.

You choose the right programming paradigm and language for the particular problem at hand. And you also understand the value of converging on a focused tech stack.

You are able to talk to people with different backgrounds.

You dislike dogma – you form your own opinions, and revise them as needed.

You are patient with people who don’t code, but suspicious of “architects” who don’t code. You don’t call yourself an architect, but you have clear thoughts on how different parts of an ecosystem should work together

You enjoy coaching other engineers and helping technologists grow.

You still remember most of the stuff you learned while working on your computer science degree, but you’ve learned a lot more since then.

You like to work with people who are smart and get things done.

You share our belief that reliable information is increasingly important, in a world where disinformation is becoming the norm.

Does all of this describe what you see in the mirror? If so, we should talk.

We are looking for

The fine print:

  • The role is in Zurich, and is a blend of onsite and home office.

  • Working permission for Switzerland is a requirement, and unfortunately, we can’t arrange it for you. If you are not a citizen of Switzerland or another EU/EFTA country, and you don’t already have a work permit, it’s probably not going to work.

  • German language skills will come in handy in our environment; if you lack them but are otherwise a great fit, we still want to talk with you.

Benefits

What we offer: Attractive additional benefits and discounts for our employees

Image
  • Five weeks vacation with option for seven weeks and vacation purchase
  • Flexible working models and mobile office options
  • A market-, performance- and success-oriented compensation package
  • Numerous discounts e.g. cell phone subscription, digital TV, bicycle rental, car purchase
  • Wide range of free health promotion services (social counseling, health coach app, flu vaccination, various trainings)

Recruitment Process

From application to success: Our hiring process

    • HR Interview

In the first step of getting to know each other, we schedule a call between you and the responsible recruiter. This will either be a virtual or an in person interview. The goal of this step is getting a first impression of you as a person and your professional capabilities.

    • Manager Call

The Manager Call is a chance for you to have a personal conversation with potential supervisors or team leads, where you can both get to know each other better.

    • Coding Challenge

This gives you the chance to showcase your technical knowledge and approach and provides us with the opportunity to evaluate your programming skills. For this purpose, you will be given a task or problem to solve using your programming abilities.

    • On-site Iinterview

Our on-site interview is all about building a connection and getting to know each other better. You'll have the chance to meet face-to-face with supervisors and team members, gain valuable insights into the position and get a feel for our workplace culture.

    • Offer & Contract

If you completed all steps successfully, we will send you a digital offer in written form. If you also think that we are a good fit for you, you can accept the offer, and we will send you the contract and look forward to working with you.
